great, economical place to start.
Not only do you get a freshly buffed
version of the album on CD-and it
does sound superb-also included in
this set in a newly expanded 90
minute version of At Last...The
Beginning: The Making of Electric
Ladyland, on DTS 5.1 DVD.
Featured on the DVD are, Noel
Redding, Mitch Mitchell, former
manager Chas Chandler, and
original producer of the EL sessions,
Eddie Kramer, to name a fine few.
Electric Ladyland was/is a tour de
force of rock/blues/psychedelica and
experimentataion with multi-track
studio wizardry which was state of
the art for its day, and incredibly, still
sounds that way, today.
Simply a masterpiece from an other-
worldy performer, departed too soon.
