ALICE COOPER
Easy Action
Enigma Retro
Dutch Import

Ask your average Coop fan
what the original mass market
shock rocker's best recording
was, and you will most likely run
the gamut from Love it to Death,
up to Billion Dollar Babies.

To be sure all worthy
candidates, but here is a much
overlooked Cooper gem, that
originally came out on the old
Frank Zappa label, Straight, in
1970.

And long out of print
domestically, this 9 track CD
used to command a fairly good
buck on e-Bay.

Now available out of Holland,
and sounding newly
remastered, Easy Action is a
sleazy little piece of
glam/punk/garage rock history,
and unlike Alice's first LP,
Pretties For You, does not make
you want to destroy it upon first
listen.

Produced by David Briggs,
Easy Action begins to develop
the style that legendary
producer Bob Ezrin would later
slowly coax more of from the
million selling band.

Not only is there solid playing
here for the genre, but the Coop
and mates are also learning to
morph melody into what
otherwise may have just been
bizarre guitar and bass white
noise.

And it is a group effort as well,
with song credits from the
whole band.

A must-hear for Alice fans.
